CrossFit is a “strength and endurance-based” approach to fitness training that people from all ages and fitness levels can participate in.

CrossFit, known as “The Sport of Fitness”, is a constantly changing training program that combines Olympic weightlifting, powerlifting, gymnastics, endurance (running and rowing) and many other dynamic and fun movements, including kettlebells and plyometrics. We train together in a team environment, led by a certified CrossFit coaching staff. Our coaching staff has an extensive coaching background, not only in years of experience, but in certifications and educational seminars attended. We are constantly striving to be the best we can be, both as a coaching staff and as a facility.

Each class will progress through a warm-up or mobility phase, a strength training phase, and a planned CrossFit WOD (Workout of the Day), all led by the coach. Depending on skill level, the coach has the option to modify or change the workout so everyone can participate. Each class is in a group setting and is approximately one hour in length.

      Vic Sanders founded CrossFit Fossil Fuel along with Terry Towler in 2015, with the vision of creating a fit and supportive community.  A lifelong athlete, Vic launched his competitive sports resume in high school as a stand-out football player.  From there, Vic competed at the US Olympic Junior Nationals, finishing in the top twenty.  Vic competes in multiple CrossFit Games every year.

      Vic enjoys the sense of camaraderie and family he’s found at CrossFit Fossil Fuel and takes great pride in serving with this elite group of coaches. His focus is small group coaching with an emphasis on strength training and endurance conditioning utilizing CrossFit programming.

      Vic is a life-long CrossFitter and athlete who passionately believes functional fitness is key to a positive and healthy lifestyle. Vic places high values on the community aspect of CrossFit and its ability to make elite training accessible to individuals at all levels. His goal is to inspire others to create positive change in their lives and in the lives of those around them.

      Vic holds a CrossFit L1 certification.
